How to get there This climb should be started in Anfo (404m) and combined with the climb to (Goletto del) Giogo della Bala (2136m) (which is located on the 8.7 km gravel section to Passo di Croce Domínii) via Sella dell’Auccia & Goletto delle Crocette/Goletto di Ravenola/Passo di Dasdana & Passo del Dasdana. See these links for further descriptions! Passo del Dosso Alto is found soon after a gravel stretch with an unlit tunnel (no problem). This section had a landslide in June 2004 – the route was cleared again in 2009. The road up from Anfo by Lago d’Idro is a fantastic and steep narrow road that winds its way up the mountains to Passo di Baremone/Passo del Mare (1418m). The narrow gravel section is balancing on sharp ridge. A little climb up from this ridge and you will reach this pass before descending to the crossroads at Passo di/Giogo del Maniva (1664m).
Other comments You will pass the follwoing extra passes on the way from Anfo: Cuca Chetoi (911m); Cuca del Frinc (1288m); Passo di Baremone/Passo del Mare (1418m); Passo della Spina (1521m); Passo della Berga (1527m). The views are splendid from the ridge section at Passo della Spina to Passo della Berga. A photo from the pass itself.
