| How to get there | From the east you start just above Falcade at 1395 meters, when coming down from Passo di San Pellegrino (1918m) and climb steeply up to the Passo di Vallès (2031m). It will be a longer climb with the same end if you begin down in the Agordino valley at Cencenighe (774m). The other approach from the west starts just after Paneveggio (1540m) where the road straight ahead go to Passo di Rolle (1970m). This is a somewhat steep climb, but it is not long and not as steep as on the east side. From Passo di Vallès a gravel road goes up north to the pass. It looks bad at start, but it is quite fine later (with some small exceptions). R1. | |
| Other comments | It is quite worthwhile to get up here as the views from Passo di Vallès are not near as good as up here. One could possibly continue down this gravel road and walk on a path to the other end of the little lake you will see down there and thus get to yet another pass (Forcella Caserette (2120m) on a path that leads to Passo di San Pellegrino). Water at Passo di Vallès. [r1620] |
