How to get there From the north you start in Toblach/Dobbiaco (1221m) (itself a pass) or higher up from Schluderbach/Carbonin (1431m). From the south you could come easily via the Passo Tre Croci/Són Zuógo (1804m) and start at Bivio Dogana Vecchia (1646m), but you could also start down from Auronzo di Cadore/Santa Catarina (845m) which would be the longest (and probably hardest) climb.
Other comments This pass is an obvious pass, but have become known for the little village of Misurina at the top and the lake (Lago di Misurina). There is thus no map (that I know of) that refers to this pass by this name, but maybe it is referred to by locals as ‘Misurinapass’ (at least someone claims this is the case). It is marked as a pass on some maps, but this usually is accompanied by the name ‘Col Sant’Ángelo’. However, in this area of Italy ‘Col’ refers to a mountaintop and not to a pass, thus the confusion. (The ’Col Sant'Ángelo’ is only a few metres higher and next to the pass.) There is a good water tap at Misurina (on the east side of the road).
